Much Anticipated Running as the Winner’s from the Kentucky Derby & Preakness return for a rematch. # 2 - Sovereignty & #7 - Journalism. They appear to stand head & shoulders over this field…. But wait, from a betting standpoint, they offer NO Value.

Saratoga is a Sloppy mess - tread lightly

Only 8 horses in the field - Simple Approach today. My play will be # 6 Baeza at hopefully 4-1 or higher. Flavian Prat rides for John Shireffs. Top Choice

Irad Ortiz rides #1 Hill Road for Chad Brown. At 14-1, I’m not ignoring this horse. This horse started in Europe & quickly got moved to the dirt & moved to Chad Brown’s care!!

If I can play Prat & Irad in a Money Race at 4-1 ( third betting choice ) and 14-1 in an Exacta - I’m in.

The fear in this race - the slop could favor Speed. The two “Old Men” - John Velazquez (who is riding very well) and Mike Smith (who is not riding well) will be on #5 Crudo and #3 Rodriguez, and will dictate the pace. I don’t think they go the distance - but a Saver Exacta of 3 with 5 …. Just in case.

Baeza should sit off these two horses, and the hope is that Prat times the move and blasts on past for the Victory. Irad gets in front of the Big Horses and gets us a price.
