2024 MLB Hitter Rosters, Projections, and Rankings by FPGscores
Time hasn’t been my friend over the past 10 weeks, as it has been moving faster than me on too many days. I was going to put this behind the paywall as it is the final piece (pitchers coming soon as well) of my research puzzle for the 2024 fantasy baseball season. Due to me being behind schedule and a lack of window to promote it, I’m pushing this to anyone who wants to view it, but the Google sheet is listed as restricted. Therefore, just must ask for permission, and I will grant it. I will not promote this any other way, so a user must use my site to find it.
It will be a year since I started this substack site in early May. I’m happy with the direction and the increase in users since I started working on baseball. I feel what I do is unique and prepares me for my NFBC drafts in Las Vegas. This bonus is that I can help others view the player pool through one person’s eyes. I’ll get many players wrong, and injuries will be a factor in everyone’s outcome. The goal is to get more right than wrong and hopefully make some money along the way.
First, I project 14 batters for each team. My projection will be much higher than other sites as I try to fit the player pool into a box and connect the dots. Many players’ shortfalls come from injuries and lost playing time. I project 162 games for nine batter slots. Once I have all the data points set up, I can easily adjust a player’s projections by changing a team’s batting order or adjusting for an injury.
As the viewer, it is essential to understand each player’s role and opportunity. At the same time, questioning my look is also crtitcal when deciding which players you like the best.
I listed all DHs with the outfielder when sorting by FPGscore.
It has really helped for my articles and my fantasy baseball picks. Thank you so much Shawn!
